Redlands, CA - Nancy Spencer, age 80, passed peacefully on May 2, 2026 due to esophageal cancer. She was a proud Redlands native born April 20, 1946, to Frank and Betty Postle. She graduated from Redlands High School in 1964, attended San Diego State and then lived in Texas for 10 years. Nancy returned to Redlands with her son, Rob, in 1980, and they began attending Temple Baptist Church, now Pathway Church. It was there where she met and married Tilden

Spencer and their marriage spanned a total of 43 years.

Ever since returning to Redlands, Nancy lived out her faith in Jesus by generously serving as a community and Pathway Church volunteer participating and/or chairing numerous committees, boards and organizations. In 2009, Nancy received the University of Redlands, Town and Gown's "Woman of Distinction Award" in recognition of her outstanding community involvement.

Nancy loved being with her family, entertaining friends and family, spending time in San Diego and traveling in the United States and abroad. She is survived by her husband Tilden Spencer, her son Rob Young, brother-in-law Kent Spencer (wife, Linda) and nephews Chad (wife, Michelle) and their two sons, Everest and Hudson and Shane (wife, Cathe) Spencer and many cousins.

Nancy's Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, July 21st, 11:00AM, at Pathway Church, Redlands. Donations can be made to P.E.O., Loving Concern Fund, checks payable to: California State Chapter, P.O.
