Redlands, CA - Robert D. (Bob) Clinton, 94, a lifelong resident of Redlands, passed away February 26, 2026. He was born December 13, 1931, in his family home in downtown Redlands at the corner of E. State Street and 9th Street.

Bob developed a strong work ethic early, selling newspapers during World War II and later working at the La Posada Hotel while attending Redlands High School, graduating in 1949. After briefly attending Valley College, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska.

He married the love of his life, Earlene Morgan, and began a 35-year career with San Bernardino County, helping implement the county's first integrated digital communications network. After retirement he worked in real estate and later cared for his aging parents and in-laws.

Bob was a dedicated Kiwanis member and longtime church member in Redlands.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Earlene; son Larry (Julie) Clinton; daughter Cathy (Greg) Munoz; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held March 28 at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church of Redlands. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
